Русский: В большинстве случаев основной парашют (ОП) типа «крыло» не работает одновременно с запасным парашютом (ЗП) того же типа. Для безопасного ввода ЗП системы «крыло» в случае отказа ОП, необходимо произвести отцепку ОП. В данном случае парашютист находился ниже высоты, на которой можно безопасно провести отцепку. После раскрытия ОП купола переместились в конфигурацию «биплан», на которой, если она стабильна, можно произвести безопасную посадку. Существуют и другие конфигурации совместной работы куполов, равно как и различные причины возникновения такой ситуации.

Español: El proceso de apertura del paracaídas de reserva mientras el principal sigue funcionando:
1. A unos 100 metros el paracaídas de reserva se desprende repentinamente y se abre. 2. El paracaidista decide no cortar el paracaídas principal, debido a la baja altitud. Al desplegarse, el paracaídas de reserva golpea contra el paracaídas principal. 3. El paracaidista se esfuerza por controlar el paracaídas principal. Los paracaídas principal y de reserva adoptan una posición de tipo biplano, una de las dos posiciones posibles cuando ambos paracaídas están desplegados simultaneamente.
