OFFICIAL: Seif El-Khashab joins Greek club Asteras Tripolis

Egyptian defender Seif El-Khashab has joined Greek club Asteras Tripolis F.C. on a season-long loan from ENPPI.

El-Khashab’s contract with Enppi was set to expire at the end of this season. According to Egyptian publication Filgoal, he extended his stay for three more years before the loan deal was finalised with Asteras, who also have the option to turn the 26-year-old’s move permanent.

While there is no initial loan fee, ENPPI will retain 50% of El-Khashab’s economic rights and a 50% sell-on clause if he extends his stay in Greece beyond this season.

The centre-back has experience playing abroad with German side FC Viktoria Köln. In Egypt, he has played for Ceramica Cleopatra, Enppi, and Sporting. This season, he joins an Asteras Tripolis squad that is currently fourth in the Greek league standings, having earned four points from three games.

His debut for Asteras could come as soon as next week as the Greek club prepares to face 11th-placed Atromitos Athinon on September 14th.

This move represents an opportunity for El Khashab as he seeks to establish himself in European football. With Asteras looking to climb higher in the league, the Egyptian defender will look to play an important role for his new team.
