Al Shabab's new signing Daniel Podence out for three weeks

Saudi club Al Shabab have announced that new signing Daniel Podence will be out for three weeks due to a muscle injury.

Podence, 28, who joined Al Shabab during the summer transfer window from Wolves, had been training with his teammates and also engaged in individual ball exercises before sustaining the muscle injury.

As a result, he is now unavailable for selection by his compatriot, coach Vítor Pereira, for the upcoming matches against Al-Qadsiah, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Raed.

Al Shabab currently sits in 10th place in the Saudi Pro League standings with three points, having lost to Al-Ettifaq and then securing a win against Al-Khaleej.

They are set to face Al-Qadsiah away on Sunday, September 15, in the third round of the league.
