West Ham defender Kurt Zouma arrives in Saudi Arabia to complete Al-Orobah move

French defender Kurt Zouma has arrived in Saudi Arabia to complete a move to Al-Orobah from West Ham.

Zouma was supposedly set to join UAE Pro League side Shabab Al Ahli earlier this summer before the deal collapsed after he failed his medical.

Knowing he has no future at the London Stadium, Zouma managed to find a new Middle Eastern club to join, this time in Saudi Arabia after reaching an agreement with Al-Orobah.

However, the completion of the deal is conditional on the player passing the medical examinations, leading to the French player arriving in the Al-Jawf region this Monday morning ahead of the medical in the city of Sakaka.

According to Saudi publication Asharq Al-Awsat, Zouma will join Al-Orobah on loan with an obligation to buy next summer, with West Ham also covering part of the player’s salary for this season.

It’s worth noting that West Ham initially offered Zouma to Nice as part of the proposed deal for Jean-Clair Todibo. However, the Ligue 1 side were not willing to match his wages and opted instead for Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdelmonem who is close to sealing a transfer to France from Al Ahly.
