Egypt have been crowned 2023 Arab Beach Soccer Cup champions after beating Oman in the final in Jeddah.
The fourth edition of the Arab Beach Soccer Cup took place from 11 to 20 May 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
A total of 12 teams entered the tournament, divided into three groups, where the top two teams of each group reach the quarter-finals in addition to the best two-third placed teams.
Egypt were drawn in group B alongside Kyrgyzstan, Oman, and Palestine and won all three games to advance to the last eight alongside both Oman and Palestine.
The Pharaohs then beat Mauritania 8-3 in the quarter-finals, before beating Palestine once again 4-3 in the semi-finals to set up a clash with Oman in the final.
Two goals from Hassan Hassin and a goal each from Ismail Abdelkodos and Haithem Mahsoub saw Egypt win the final 4-2 on Saturday night to lift the title.
Egypt now become the most successful nation in the competition’s history with two titles, having won the last edition in 2014, which was played in Sharm el-Sheikh.
