OFFICIAL: Ahmed Hassan Kouka returns to Alanyaspor for second spell

Turkish side Alanyaspor have re-signed Egypt international Ahmed Hassan Kouka from Pendikspor for an undisclosed fee.

The deal will run until the end of the season and will mark Kouka’s second spell with Alanyaspor.

Kouka had spent last season on loan at Alanyaspor from Olympiacos, scoring 11 goals in 26 games, helping the team avoid relegation by just one point.

Alanyaspor announced Kouka’s arrival on the transfer deadline day alongside South Korean striker Ui-jo Hwang on loan from Nottingham Forest.

This season, Kouka has been playing for Pendikspor, having joined the Turkish club just last summer, but struggled for playing time due to injuries, scoring three goals in five games.

Alanyaspor, coached by Fatih Tekke, currently sit 14th in the Turkish Super Lig table with 27 points, three away from the relegation zone, and one more than Kouka’s former club Pendikspor.

The 30-year-old was part of Egypt’s team in the most recent Africa Cup of Nations, making a sole appearance in the opening game against Mozambique.
