Egypt national team striker, Ahmed Yasser Rayan, scored a brace, including a worldie, in Altay SK’s win over Manisa SK in the fourth round of the Turkish Cup.

The 23-year-old striker had joined Turkish Super League outfit Altay SK on a season-long loan from African champions Al Ahly.

Following a goal on his debut, Rayan netted four more times to take his goal tally to five goals in ten games across both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.

Already the club top scorer in the Turkish Cup, Rayan wanted to continue his impressive form as Altay SK hosted second-division side Manisa FK in the fourth round of the competition.

Altay started the game on the wrong foot, having conceded just 34th minute into the game through Veli Çetin, before Cameroon international Serge Tabekou then added the second right before half-time.

11 minutes into the second-half, Rayan managed to reduce the deficit with a brilliant overhead kick inside the penalty area, making it 2-1.

Then in the 69th minute, the 23-year-old found himself in a one on one situation and calmly placed the ball past the goalkeeper to bring the scores back level.

Former Spartak Prague forward, Marco Paixão, then scored a brace of his own in the 74th and 84th minute to make it 4-2 for the hosts.

In 12 so far with Altay, since joining them on loan from Al Ahly, Rayan managed to score seven goals in the league and cup and provided one assist.

He is currently the highest-scoring Egyptian in Turkey this season, ahead of Mostafa Mohamed (four goals) and Ahmed Hassan Kouka, who netted just once for Konyaspor.
