Yeni Malatyaspor handed transfer ban over unpaid dues to Wadi Degla

Turkish outfit Yeni Malatyaspor have been banned from transfers over unpaid dues to Wadi Degla for the Karim Hafez transfer deal.

Hafez had initially joined Yeni Malatyaspor on a six-month loan deal from Wadi Degla in January of 2020 after getting released by Kasimpasa.

The 25-year-old impressed in his loan spell with Malatyaspor, providing great shows in the domestic league.

Karim’s performances with the club had earned him a permanent deal with Malatyaspor in August of the same year and extended his stay in Turkey.

Since joining Malatyaspor, Karim has made 53 appearances, in which he made 11 assists.

Despite completing the move in 2020, Degla have sent an official complaint to FIFA claiming that the Turkish club have not paid the transfer fees.

FIFA decision was in Wadi Degla’s favor, after investigating the issue, Malatyaspor were handed a transfer ban.
