Egyptian International Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet led Trabzonspor to the Turkish Cup semi-finals against his former team Başakşehir.
Trabzonspor secured their spot in the Turkish Cup semi-finals after defeating Başakşehir 1-0 tonight in the quarter-final match at Papara Park.
The game saw Egyptian international Trezeguet in the starting lineup, before being replaced by former Arsenal winger Nicolas Pépé in the 77th minute.
The 29-year-old received a magical pass from Paul Onuachu, putting him in front of the penalty area, but his long-range shot narrowly missed the post.
Edin Višća scored the match’s only goal in the 57th minute after receiving the ball and slotting it into the net, making Trabzonspor the second team to qualify for the semi-finals, following Ankaragücü.
Trezeguet has participated in 19 matches in all competitions with Trabzonspor this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists.
