OFFICIAL: Raja terminate Amr Warda contract after just 12 days

Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have terminated the contract of Amr Warda by mutual consent just 12 days after signing the Egyptian.

On Saturday, August 12, Raja Casablanca had announced the signing of Amr Warda on a free transfer after his contract with Cypriot side Apollon Limassol FC expired earlier this summer.

Despite being linked with a return to Egypt and even moves to Spain and Greece, where he played the majority of his career, Warda chose to join the Moroccan giants, signing a two-year deal.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Warda requested Raja to terminate his contract citing mental & personal reasons, according to the club’s statement.

The club also revealed that Warda has paid the full release clause included in his contract to become a free agent.

Reports emerged earlier this week that Warda wasn’t feeling comfortable in Morocco and failed to adapt to life at his new club.
