OFFICIAL: Raja Casablanca announce signing of Amr Warda

Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have officially announced the signing of Egypt international Amr Warda on a free transfer.

Amr Warda became a free agent after his contract with Cypriot side Apollon Limassol FC expired earlier this summer.

As a result, Warda was linked with a return to Egypt, having left Al Ahly in the summer of 2015, and even moves to Spain and Greece, where he played the majority of his career.

But Warda ended up making a shock move to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca and the deal was announced on Saturday through a video on their social media.

Amr Warda has now signed a two-year deal that will keep him in Casablanca until the summer of 2025.

Warda became Raja’s fifth summer signing after deals for Sundowns’ Haashim Domingo, Youssef Belammari, Adam Ennaffati, and Abdellah Khafifi.

He also become the second-ever Egyptian to represent Raja after Amr Zaki, who spent a very brief spell with the club in 2014.
