Tamer Mostafa, Head coach of Modern Future, emphasized the difficulty of their match against South African team SuperSport United in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Modern Future will be guests of SuperSport United today, Sunday, as part of the fifth round of the group stage matches of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Tamer Mostafa stated: “We believe in our winning chances against SuperSport and qualifying for the next round. We know the match difficulty, but we want to return from South Africa with all three points.”
“We have a tight schedule and tough matches in the Egyptian Premier League, so we are seeking to secure qualification for the next round of the Confederation Cup early.”
“The weather conditions are difficult, as well as the hardship of travel, but we have players with experience in African competitions,” Mostafa added.
Regarding SuperSport’s position in the group standings, Mostafa confirmed that he respects the opponent and knows the capabilities of its players, but he only focuses on his team.
USM Alger, the defending champions, currently top the group standings and are close to qualifying for the quarter-finals after reaching 10 points.
Meanwhile, Future has 7 points in second place and needs at least one win in the last two rounds to secure their qualification for the knockout stages for the first time in their history.
