Egypt Olympic Team manager Rogério Micale has named a 26-man squad for the upcoming training camp among the Pharaohs preparations for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Egyptian Olympic Team are facing Gabon in a friendly game during their preparatory camp that is taking place between the 30th of January and the 3rd of February.
The Pharaohs are preparing for Zambia’s two-legged tie in the third round of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualification next March.
The Egyptians beat Eswatini in the second round of the qualifiers last October in Micale’s first official test as the manager of the Olympic Team.
The squad list witnessed the inclusion of Zamalek’s five youngsters, Hossam Abdel-Maguid, Mohamed Hossam, Mohamed Tarek, Mohamed Nadim, and Hatem Mohamed.
Zamalek loanee, Hossam Ashraf, who recently joined Al Bank Al Ahly, alongside, Osama Faisal are among the prominent names included in Micale’s squad.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly players are notable absentees from the squad list due to their participation with the Red Devils in the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup.
