OFFICIAL: Ehab Galal resigns as Pharco FC head coach

Former Egypt manager Ehab Galal has resigned from his role as the head coach at Pharco FC following a run of disappointing results.

Galal, 55, took charge of Pharco FC five weeks ago as a replacement for Nuno Almeida following his dismissal as Al Masry’s head coach.

However, Galal’s new job lasted only eight games, from which he won only once, drawing four while losing three as the club sit 13th on the league table.

The latest defeat came against his former club ENPPI after a 99th-minute winner from Ali Fawzi, which left Pharco just one point away from the relegation zone.

Just one day after the loss, Galal handed in his resignation, meaning he won’t be able to manage another team in the Egyptian Premier League this season.

According to the EFA regulations, it’s not allowed for a manager to coach more than one team in the same season if he terminated his contract with his club.

In the case of sacking, a manager can coach up to only two teams in the same season, which was applied to Ehab Galal after his dismissal from Al Masry.
