Eintracht Frankfurt have issued an update on the condition of Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush following scans on his recent injury.
Marmoush was called up by Hossam Hassan and was part of his squad for their games during the international break.
The player sustained the injury during Egypt’s opening game in the AFCON qualifiers against Cape Verde, which subsequently led to him missing their trip to Botswana.
Despite the setback, Marmoush made an impact by scoring in Egypt’s win over Cape Verde. He has also started in all three of Frankfurt’s matches so far this season.
A Frankfurt spokesperson commented on the situation, stating, “We do not believe Marmoush’s injury is serious at the moment, but we can’t be certain just yet.
“It remains unclear whether Marmoush will be available for selection in the upcoming match against Wolfsburg.”
The Egyptian forward has had an impressive start to the season, contributing one goal and three assists in Frankfurt’s first three games across all competitions.
