Report: Mane’s expected Al-Nassr exit to pave way for Gundogan transfer

Al-Nassr are reportedly thinking about letting go of their wingers Sadio Mane and Anderson Talisca in hopes of signing Ilkay Gundogan.

Tensions have been rising in Al Nassr after their recent loss against rivals Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup final. According to Al Yaum, they are ready to part ways with either Sadio Mane or Anderson Talisca.

Additionally, recent reports also confirmed that Mane is now on the verge of leaving the club and could be joining Fabinho’s Al-Ittihad.

Should the Senegalese depart Al-Nassr, it would free up space in their quota of non-homegrown players and could potentially pave the way for an Ilkay Gundogan transfer.

However, Al-Nassr’s hopes to sign the German midfielder look to be quickly slimming as he seems to be closing in on a return to his former club Manchester City.

The Riyadh club will look to turn things around quickly as they kick off the new Saudi Pro League campaign on Thursday against Al-Raed.
