REPORT: Barcelona Star rejects Saudi Pro League move

Barcelona forward Raphinha has reportedly rejected a move to the Saudi Pro League as he desires to remain with the Catalan club.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, intermediates have approached the Brazilian winger again this week to understand his availability to move to Saudi Arabia, but his priority remains to stay at Barcelona.

It’s unknown which club has approached the Brazilian, but it’s known that Al Ahli are looking for a new winger to replace Allan Saint-Maximin, who departed for Fenerbahçe.

Raphinha joined Barcelona two seasons ago from Leeds United for a reported fee of €58 million. Despite a strong start to his career in Spain, he lost his place in the starting lineup to teenage sensation Lamine Yamal last season.

It’s understood that Barcelona are willing to sell Raphinha for the right price in order to strengthen their squad under new manager Hansi Flick. Getting a big financial package for a squad player would alleviate Barcelona well well-documented financial constraints.

All in all, Raphinha played in 87 games with Barcelona scoring 20 goals and assisting 25. He also has 27 caps for Brazil and was part of their recent squad at the most recent Copa America.
