The 25-year-old played a pivotal role in Frankfurt’s dramatic victory over his former club Wolfsburg, leading his team to an important win in the third round of the Bundesliga.
Marmoush opened the scoring in the 30th minute, before stepping up to convert a penalty in the 82nd minute, just six minutes after Wolfsburg had leveled the match.
His double proved decisive as Frankfurt edged out a 2-1 victory to move up to sixth place in the Bundesliga table.
The forward has now netted three goals in three Bundesliga appearances this season, underlining his importance to Frankfurt’s attacking setup.
His contributions have been central to the team’s performance this season, being directly involved in six goals across league and cup competitions.
Marmoush’s brace puts him just one goal shy of catching Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric, who currently tops the Bundesliga scoring charts.
