Egypt’s Mahmoud Kahraba played just 43 minutes as CD Aves lose 5-1 to Rio Ave in game-week 3 of the Portuguese League.

Kahraba got to finally make his official debut for CD Aves after having received his international clearance from Egypt.

Just ten minutes into the game Iranian forward Mehdi Taremi opened the scoring for Rio Ave before completing the brace in the 22nd minute.

The hosts continued their control throughout the first-half and in the 43rd minute Kahraba was subbed-off after failing to make any positive contributions.

Then in the 52nd minute Taremi completed his hat-trick as he found himself in a one on one situation and converted his chance into the back of the net.

Former Benfica winger Nuno Santos scored his side’s fourth goal in the 55th minute. In the 75th minute Brazil winger Filipe Augusto scored his side’s fifth and final goal from the penalty spot.

Enzo Fernandez, son of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, scored CD Aves’ only goal of the game in the 77th minute.

This marks CD Aves’ second defeat of the season and currently sit 12th on the Portuguese League table with three points. They will face Famalicao on Saturday August 31.
