Ittihad Ederson

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has been linked with a move to Ittihad Jeddah this summer according to the latest reports.

Despite talks with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr falling through last week, Ederson still attracting interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, Ittihad have emerged as interested suitors and are keen on landing the Brazilian this summer.

The Tigers have reportedly agreed terms with the 30-year-old and are lining up a bid to find a replacement for his countryman Marcelo Grohe, who recently left the club to join rivals Al-Kholood.

After securing deals for Houssem Aouar and Moussa Diaby, Ittihad remains confident in their chances of signing a world-class goalkeeper to complete their squad.

However, Manchester City are demanding a high fee for their first-choice goalkeeper with three years remaining in his contract.

Just like Al-Nassr, the asking price could deter Ittihad with the Middle Eastern side also looking at alternatives in West Ham’s Alphonse Areola and Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid.
