Egypt have played out a goalless draw with Mozambique in their first game of the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 2023 AFCON is currently taking place in Egypt until March 12th across three stadiums in Cairo, Alexandria, and Suez.
The Pharaohs were handed a tough draw as they were placed in Group A alongside Nigeria, Mozambique, and Senegal.
Their opening game came against Mozambique where Egypt dominated but failed to find the breakthrough for 90 minutes.
Egypt will meet Nigeria in their second group game on Wednesday before facing Senegal on Saturday, February 25th.
