Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed is set to miss Nantes’ upcoming game against Stade de Reims after sustaining an injury while on international duty.
Mostafa Mohamed was forced off the pitch against Cape Verde, with subsequent scans confirming a hamstring injury.
This forced the player to withdraw from the Egypt camp and miss the Botswana game, which the Pharaohs won 4-0.
However, it seems Mohamed is set for a lengthy period on the sidelines after French reports confirmed he won’t feature in the upcoming game against Stade de Reims on Sunday.
This injury will be a blow for Mostafa Mohamed after scoring for the first time this season against Montpellier just before the international break.
It’s yet to be seen whether Mohamed will make it to the Angers game on the weekend after or if head coach Antoine Kombouaré needs to resort to an alternative.
