El Wensh: I got goosebumps hearing what Shikabala said about me

Zamalek and Egypt star Mahmoud Hamdy El Wensh said that he’ll be back to training with the team in ‘two/three months’ time, while also praising club captain Shikabala for his words about him following the 2-2 draw with Pyramids.

El Wensh sustained an injury in a game between The Whites and Ismaily in May 2023, in a game which saw the latter emerge victorious 2-1 at Ismailia Stadium.

“I’m going to be ready to train with the team in two/three months’ time,” he told Zamalek TV. “I’m already done with the more tougher parts of my rehabilitation program.

“I’m progressing well, but there’s no rush, and I’ll be back when it’s the right time.”

When asked on the club’s game with Djibouti club Arta Solar, El Wensh took time to thank club captain Shikabla, who told the team that Zamalek will be unstoppable once they regain the services of El Wensh, Ahmed Fatouh, and Zizo.

“Words won’t do justice to the support I’ve received from Zamalek fans,” El Wensh stated. “and “I want them to know that we’re all united, and we’re all going to support the team so we can defeat Arta Solar.

“I got goosebumps when I heard what Shikabala said about me after the Pyramids game, and I want to thank for that.”
