Mohamed Salah shortlisted for CAF Player of the Year award

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has made the final shortlist for the 2023 CAF Player of the Year award on Thursday.

Salah continues to be rewarded for another sensational year for the Reds after receiving the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) Player of the Year award last week.

The Egyptian has scored 27 goals and provided 16 assists so far this calendar year and his numbers have inspired Liverpool’s Premier League title charge this season.

His contributions also earned him a spot in the final three-man shortlist for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award as he faces tough competition from Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi and Victor Osimhen of Napoli.

The winner is set to be announced at the ceremony set to take place in Marrakech on Monday, December 11th.
