Sadio Mane has taken a sly dig at former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah when asked about the Egyptian after the Arab Cup final.
Mane won his first title in Saudi Arabia after guiding Al-Nassr to the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup title following a 2-1 win over arch-rivals Al-Hilal.
Reports have emerged that Mohamed Salah could join Mane in Saudi Arabia after being offered a £180m contract by Ittihad Jeddah, but his agent Ramy Abbas insisted he will remain at Liverpool for the time being.
However, after the Arab Cup final a Saudi fan asked Sadio Mane about Mohamed Salah and if he could join Al-Nassr, but the Senegelse answered taunting his former teammate.
A video caught the conversation between the fan and Sadio Mane, where the latter was heard saying: “[Mohamed Salah] no Africa Cup. No Africa Cup. Senegal Africa Cup.”
Mane had helped Senegal win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations over Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in Yaoundé, Cameroon on penalties.
A month later, Senegal reached the 2022 World Cup over Egypt also on penalties, with Sadio Mane scoring the decisive winning penalty on both occasions.
