AC Milan midfielder in talks over Saudi Arabia move

Saudi club Al-Shabab have reportedly opened negotiations with AC Milan over their Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic.

The Italian publication Tuttosport revealed the news, which also reported that Krunic welcomes the move to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Shabab are keen on strengthing their squad this winter following a disastrous first half of the season, which saw them collect just 21 points from 19 games, sitting only four points away from relegation.

However, Al-Shabab will have to compete with Turkish giants and league leaders Fenerbahçe, who are also rumoured to be interested in Rade Krunic.

Krunic, 30, has been playing for AC Milan since July 2019, joining from FC Empoli, and this season he has 14 appearances to his name, including four in the UEFA Champions League.

Overall, the defensive midfielder appeared 139 times for AC Milan, scoring three goals, and was part of the team that won the Serie A in 2022.
