AC Milan keeper arrives in Saudi Arabia ahead of Abha Club move

Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tătăruşanu has arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of signing for Abha Club after leaving Italian giants AC Milan.

Tătăruşanu played for the last three seasons with AC Milan after joining the club from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2020.

However, his contract expired with Milan last July and the goalkeeper became a free agent.

Despite receiving offers from Italy and Romania, Tătăruşanu has opted to move to Saudi Arabia to join Abha Club, coached by former Poland boss Czeslaw Michniewicz.

The 37-year-old will now become Abha’s third marquee signing after Grzegorz Krychowiak and François Kamano and will battle with Cameroon international Devis Epassy for the goalkeeping spot.

Abha has also been linked with moves for Jesse Lingard and Valencia’s Samu Castillejo as they keen to avoid relegation next season.
