Ehab Galal commits to Al Masry to end doubts over future
Head coach Ehab Galal has ended doubts over his future by extending his contract at Al Masry by a further year, the club have announced.

Galal took charge of Al Masry last December, replacing Mostafa Younis, and has since lost three games only from 20 across all competitions.

The three defeats came against El-Gouna, Al Ahly, and Haras El-Hodood, but on the other hand, the club managed to beat the likes of Zamalek, while drawing with Pyramids FC twice.

Overall, under Galal’s charge, the Portsaid-based club played 21 games, winning nine, drawing nine, while losing only three.

The club finished the Egyptian Premier League campaign in fourth place, which could see them qualify for next year’s CAF Confederation Cup in case one of Al Ahly, Zamalek, or Pyramids FC won the Egypt Cup.

Al Masry’s impressive performance under Galal linked him with the vacant head coach position at Pyramids FC, but the 51-year-old confirmed his future after extending his contract at the club.

The former Zamalek and Misr El-Makkasa coach will search for his first silverware next season and the club’s first one in over 20 years.
