Mohamed Salah wins PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has beaten the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award for February.

Liverpool had a perfect run in February, winning all of their games in all competitions, including the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

They caught everyone’s attention in the Premier League as they managed to win all of their four games, scoring 12 goals while conceding just one.

Salah scored three of these goals and provided one assist, providing several memorable performances along the way.

The 29-year-old also managed to break Didier Drogba’s record as the African player with the most goal contributions in the Premier League history, thanks to his brace against Leeds United.

Furthermore, Salah became Liverpool’s ninth top-scorer of all time with 153 goals, surpassing club legend Harry Chambers and closing in on eighth place Michael Owen who is five goals ahead.

This becomes the third time Salah wins the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award this season.

Last Saturday, the Egyptian further cemented his spot on the Premier League goal-scoring charts by scoring his 20th goal, bring his total direct goal contributions to 30 [20 goals and 10 assists].

Salah will hope to help the Reds take one step closer to Manchester City on top of the league table, when they visit Arsenal Wednesday, 16 March.
