Pyramids manager Ramon Diaz has expressed his faith in his club’s chances in competing for the league title following the victory against Petrojet.

After almost one month, Pyramids have returned to Egyptian league action with a 2-0 victory against Petrojet in the 27th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Argentinian manager has admitted that his team’s performance wasn’t great against the petroleum club, despite sealing the three points.

“It was very difficult to win the game after almost a month and half of rest. We didn’t reach the required level but we will improve with time,” Diaz said in a press conference.

When asked about the Cairo Derby, that was played last Saturday, Diaz responded that it was difficult to have a verdict on the game due to the difficult circumstances it was played at.

”It isn’t very difficult to judge any of both teams in that game due to the bad state of the pitch and the heavy rain which didn’t help both sides to show their best.”

”Our target is to win every game and continue getting the three points, so we can keep our chances in winning the league title,” Diaz concluded.

The victory has raised Pyramids’ points tally to 51, one away from Al Ahly and three away from leaders Zamalek.
