Al Ahly: Ayman Ashraf fit for Sundowns game

Al Ahly medical staff announced that left back Ayman Ashraf will be fit ahead of their game against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday April 6.

The Red Devils are set to face the South African giants in their first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.

Ayman Ashraf didn’t appear in Al Ahly’s 2-0 win over Ittihad of Alexandria in the league due to exhaustion. The former Smouha man played 29 games across all competitions for Al Ahly this season scoring twice.

However the Reds have announced that newly-signed defender Mahmoud Wahid has been ruled out of the game due to muscle exhaustion.

The 24-year-old joined the Reds in the in the previous transfer window from Misr El-Makassa. Since he has just made one appearance for his new side.

Al Ahly are currently on top of the Egyptian Premier League table with 55 points. Second-placed Zamalek are just one point behind with a game in hand.
