Zamalek to open new contract talks with star winger

Following the renewal of Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh and progressing in negotiations with Zizo, Egypt giants Zamalek are set to initiate talks with first team star winger Achraf Bencharki in order to tie him down to a new deal soon.

Zamalek are currently working hard in to ensure the main pillars of the squad is staying on long term following their loss of Ferjani Sassi who will leave for free this summer.

The Whites managed to extend the contract of their star defender Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh amid interest from gulf clubs.

Zamalek are also progressing in talks with Ahmed Sayed Zizo whose contract expires next summer after he was also rumored to be leaving to UAE or the Whites’ arch rivals Al Ahly.

Now Zamalek advisor and legend Farouk Gaafar said that the club will shortly commence talks with Bencharki.

“We will start talks with Bencharki for his his contract renewal after El-Makkasa game. The player returned to Cairo a day before Zamalek’s game against Aswan,” Gaafar told ON Time Sport TV.

“We had no time to discuss Bencharki’s extension and we will discuss the matter after the Egypt Cup match.”

The former Zamalek forward stressed that the club will speak to all players with expiring deals whether to open contract renewal discussions or let them go.
