Nogoom FC negotiate right back sale to Al Ahly

Karim Fouad

President of second division side Nogoom FC, Mohamed El-Tawila, has confirmed that the club is in talks with Cairo giants Al Ahly for the transfer of the team’s right back Karim Fouad to the Red Devils.

Fouad burst onto the scene with Nogoom FC in 2019 after being promoted to the first team.

After a promising first season, he was acquired by ENPPI on a loan deal after Nogoom got relegated. The 21-year-old became an instant starter and has made 49 appearances since, providing five assists along the way.

The 21-year-old’s agent, John Edward, had previously confirmed that the youngster received many foreign offers, but the right-back prefers to join Cairo giants Al Ahly.

“Karim Fouad and ENPPI are a closed case. ENPPI told us they aren’t capable of paying our requested transfer fee. Al Ahly and another Egyptian club are the only teams that are interested in signing Fouad,” El-Tawila told ON Time Sport TV.

“Fouad’s desire is to join Al Ahly. We respect his desire and we will work on fulfilling it because he is a respectable player. Talks with Al Ahly started a short while ago and are still in a preliminary stage.”

“Karim Fouad’s price is not less than 15 million EGP. We will not exaggerate in our demands and we did not ask for $2 million as some rumors suggested.”
