The agent of Al Ahly loanee and Tala’a El-Gaish forward Amr Gamal has revealed that the performances of his clients this season has attracted interest from Emirati outfit Al Wasl FC.
Gamal joined Tala’a El-Gaish in the summer transfer window of 2019 and is spending his second season at the club this term on loan from Al Ahly.
The 29-year-old striker has rediscovered his old form this season, already making 14 direct goal contributions [10 goals and four assists] in 14 league games. However, this wasn’t enough to earn a spot in Hossam El-Badry’s squad.
Gamal has repeatedly stated that he will return to Al Ahly following the conclusion of his loan spell then decide with head coach Pitso Mosimane what to do.
“Amr signed for two years with El-Gaish and he is currently delivering one of his best seasons on personal level. His abilities and age allow him him to achieve more,” Gamal’s agent Mido Hozayen told ON Time Sport TV.
“Amr’s return to Al Ahly has not been decided yet. We haven’t spoken with the club yet but Emirati club Al Ain showed interest a couple of months ago. However I do not prefer his exit from the Egyptian league.”
In addition to his loan spell at El-Gaish, Gamal had two stints abroad at Bidvest Wits FC and HJK Helsinki, winning the Cup with the dissolved South African club and the Finnish league with the latter.
