Carteron outlines Zamalek’s seasonal objectives

Zamalek manager Patrice Carteron has spoken out about the Whites’ targets for the ongoing season as he specified the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup titles as their targets this term.

On the other hand, their arch rivals Al Ahly have played six games less due to their commitments in the Champions League and the Club World Cup. The Red Devils have 41 points from 19 matches played so far.

The Egyptian Football Association had recently announced new dates for the league rounds until the final matchday of the competition.

The Whites are in a good position in both the Premier League and Egypt Cup, being in the league leadership after playing 24 matches collecting 51 points while also progressing to the quarterfinal of the domestic cup competition.

Carteron affirmed that he aims to achieve the Premier League title and the Egypt Cup this season, and this requires the team to win their upcoming three league games before the long break in the league this.

The 50-year-old also stressed on the importance of consistency which will be the key for Zamalek to secure the league title this season.

The Whites are currently preparing for the league resumption by facing Aswan on June 17 in the 26th round of the competition.
