Egyptian authorities allow 52,000 fans to attend Al Ahly-Raja clash

Egyptian authorities have allowed up to 52,000 fans to attend Al Ahly’s encounter with Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.

Al Ahly made their way into the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after defeating Al Hilal 3-0 in the final matchday of the group stages.

The victory ensured Al Ahly finished second in Group B on goal difference with 10 points as they condemned Al Hilal to third place in the standings.

The Red Devils were later drawn against Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca with the first leg taking place at the Cairo International Stadium on April 21st.

Ahead of the clash, Al Ahly have been handed a major boost as Egyptian authorities announced that 52,000 home fans will be allowed to enter the stadium.

It’s worth noting that Al Ahly will travel to face Raja Casablanca on April 28th for the return leg with the winner set to face the victor between JS Kabylie and Esperance de Tunis in the semi-finals next month.
