Al Ahly have secured qualification for the CAF Champions League semi-finals with a victory over Raja Casablanca on aggregate.
The Red Devils picked up a 2-0 victory over Raja Casablanca in the first leg of the quarter-finals at the Cairo International Stadium last week.
Mohamed Abdelmonem opened the scoring for the hosts at the stroke of half-time before Hamdy Fathi’s strike sealed a comfortable win for Al Ahly.
Despite heading into the return leg with a two-goal cushion, Al Ahly had a difficult time in Morocco but managed to hold Raja to a goalless draw.
The opening minutes saw Raja press Al Ahly and create a number of half-chances without testing Mohamed El-Shennawy in goal.

Raja’s first real opportunity to take the lead came just before the break as they were awarded a penalty for a cynical foul by Aliou Dieng inside the box.
However, Yousri Bouzok failed to convert from the spot as his effort rattled the crossbar and was cleared away from danger on the rebound.
Bouzok’s miss proved to be a turning point as the home side struggled to find the breakthrough in the second half against a resolute defensive display from Al Ahly.
The draw was enough for the 10-time African champions to advance to the semi-finals for the fourth consecutive season and set up a clash with Esperance de Tunis.
