AC Ajaccio to take disciplinary action against Youcef Belaili

AC Ajaccio are set to take disciplinary action against Algeria international Youcef Belaili for his absence from training.

The French club announced in a statement that Belaili missed the team’s training for three consecutive days and that disciplinary proceedings would be launched against him.

The winger had previously missed the team’s training without the club’s permission as he delayed his return from the last international break following an adductor injury he had suffered with Algeria.

“AC Ajaccio has noted the absence of Youcef Belaïli since Tuesday, April 25th. He did not show up for the resumption of training after the Brest match,” the club said in a statement.

“The player behaved inappropriately towards our supporters after the end of the match and AC Ajaccio condemns such attitude. Therefore, a disciplinary procedure is underway.”

The 31-year-old scored six goals and provided three assists in 17 matches with Ajaccio since he joined them last October.
