OFFICIAL: Ghazl El-Mahalla appoint Reda Shehata as head coach

Egyptian Premier League outfit Ghazl El-Mahalla have announced the appointment of Reda Shehata as their new head coach replacing Abdel-Baky Gamal.

The decision was made after the team suffered a poor run of form, culminating in their most recent defeat, a 1-0 loss to Talaa’ El-Gaish.

Since joining, Abdel-Baky led the team in 14 games, winning three, drawing three, and losing eight.

Following Abdel-Baky’s departure, El-Mahalla decided to bring in former Al Ahly and Egypt international player Reda Shehata.

Shehata previously managed El-Dakhelya and will now be taking on his second Egyptian Premier League challenge this season.

Moreover, he becomes the third manager to take charge of El-Mahalla this season, after Nikodimos Papavasiliou and Abdel-Baky Gamal.

Shehata will be assisted by Abu Al-Majd Mostafa as the General Coach, Mohamed Al-Atrawi as the Assistant Coach, and Mohamad Al-Aqbawy as the Goalkeeper Coach.

Ghazl El-Mahallah is currently 12th in the Egyptian Premier League table, with 30 points in 26 matches.
