CAF Champions League: Al Ahly discover quarter-final opponents

CAF have announced the draw for this season’s Champions League quarter-finals as Al Ahly are set to face a tough test.

Al Ahly booked their spot in the quarter-finals after defeating Al Hilal 3-0 in the final round of the competition’s group stages.

The victory ensured Al Ahly finished second in Group B on goal difference with 10 points as they condemned Al Hilal to third place in the standings.

Marcel Koller’s side will now hope to maintain their form heading into the next round as they meet tougher opponents.

The CAF Champions League draw revealed that Al Ahly will clash with former African champions Raja Casablanca.

The first leg will take place at the Cairo International Stadium on April 21st before Al Ahly travel to play Raja in Morocco a week later.

It’s worth noting that the victor will face the winner between JS Kabylie and Esperance de Tunis in the semi-finals in May.
