Despite their heavy defeat, Liverpool may find consolation in Salah breaking another all-time club record this season.

The 30-year-old’s goal against Manchester City was his 56th away strike for Liverpool in the Premier League, surpassing Michael Owen’s tally of 55.

It’s worth noting that Salah became the club’s leading goalscorer in the competition after netting a brace in their 7-0 rout of Manchester United last month.

Salah has also been in impressive form this season scoring 23 goals and providing 11 assists in 40 games this season in all competitions.
