Man City accept Al-Nassr's offer for Aymeric Laporte

European champions Manchester City have accepted Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr offer for Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte.

The 29-year-old has been struggling for playtime in England, making just 12 Premier League appearances last season for champions Manchester City.

Laporte was also a late substitute in Man City’s opening-day win at Burnley on Friday, with Guardiola opting for Nathan Aké and Manuel Akanji over him.

With the arrival of €90 million centre-back Josko Gvardiol and the fact that Laporte has two years remaining on his contract, City agreed to let the player go to Saudi Arabia.

Laporte is also said to be open on the move which will see him play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana, and Alex Telles at Al-Nassr.

The Saudi club has spent €77 million so far in the summer, but are yet to sign a centre-back, which makes the Aymeric Laporte deal perfect for all parties.
