Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, praised Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, claiming that he is one of the best players in the world.
In his interview with BeIN sports, Wenger talked about how Salah has been fantastic with the Reds and his evolution from his time with Chelsea and Roma.
“Mohamed Salah is a fantastic player. He blossomed at Liverpool after being already very good at Roma. You have to give credit to Liverpool, with many clubs on the market and be able to sniff a player like him, shows that they did very well,” said Wenger.
He added, “He is a sensational player. He fell a little bit after the World Cup until the past few weeks, he managed to come back to his best and he is one of the best players in the world right now.”
Salah moved to Chelsea from FC Basel in 2014 after impressing former Chelsea manger at the time, Jose Mourinho. However, the Egyptian failed to prove himself and only played 13 games and scored only two goals.
The 26-year-old then moved to Fiorentina in 2015 on a 6-months loan, then to Roma for a one-year-loan, before making his move to Roma a permanent move in 2016.
Impressing current Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, Salah returned back to the Premier League, joining the Reds in 2017, scoring 69 goals in his first 100 games with Liverpool and winning the PFA player of the year in 2018.
