Ittihad of Alexandria new player Toni Silva has released a statement to the press with different accusations towards Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane.

Toni Silva will be representing Ittihad of Alexandria this season after he signed a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2021, becoming the club’s seventh winter signing.

Silva joined 2016 CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns after his contract with Greek outfits Levadiakos ended last March, however, after only six months he departed Masandawana.

“Pitso you are the weakest coach I have ever had in my life. You are arrogant and your ego does not help you as you fail to make your players happy, but instead, you kill player’s dreams and player’s careers,” Silva said in his statement.

“You like acting big, but please know your limits, you are just a coach in Africa. There are bigger coaches than you, don’t forget you are not international yet.”

The Guinea Bissau international previously played for Benfica and Liverpool at youth levels and holds a Portuguese passport.

He joins the Alexandrian club after having several stints at various clubs and countries, most notably Barnsley FC, Northampton Town, CSKA Sofia, and Uniao Madeira.

“I opted to leave early because I know my worth, and staying there was just going to destroy my career as you do to half of the other talented players in your team.

“You fight with most of the players, and you communicate information late,” he added.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
