Zizo tests negative for COVID-19 ahead of Wydad clash

Zamalek star Ahmed Sayed Zizo has tested negative for COVID-19 ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against Wydad Casablanca.

Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek are struggling to get their first win in the CAF Champions League group-stage after falling to two draws against Petro Luanda and Sagrada Esperança.

The clash with Sagrada Esperança saw the absence of Ahmed Sayed Zizo who tested positive for COVID-19 before the match.

According to his club, the 26-year-old winger has now tested negative for COVID-19 and he’s fit for the Wydad Casablanca game in the next round.

Tomorrow, Zizo will be traveling to Morocco, while the rest of the Zamalek squad will be arriving on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to take place next Saturday at 9:00 pm CLT.

Ahmed Sayed Zizo is this season’s Zamalek top scorer, netting five goals in 11 appearances across all competitions.

Zamalek now sit third in Group D with two points, behind leaders Petro Luanda who collected four points and Wydad who won a game and lost another.
