Egyptian international Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet assisted Trabzonspor’s first goal and scored the second in their clash with Crvena Zvezda.
Trabzonspor had a rough start to their UEFA Europa League group stage journey as they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Ferencvaros.
However, they managed to bounce back as they beat Crvena Zvezda 2-1 in the second round fixture.
The game saw an impressive performance from Egyptian winger Mahmoud Trezeguet who assisted Hamsik to Trabzonspor’s first goal and then went on to net the second goal of the night through a screamer that found its way to the opponents’ nets.
Trezeguet’s goal was his second with Trabzonspor in 11 appearances and his first in the Europa League.
Speaking to the press after the game, the Egyptian stated that he didn’t feel pressured by not scoring as he’s used to difficult situations.
“I didn’t feel pressured, I knew I would score. I played for the Egyptian national team and I played in the Premier League, pressure doesn’t affect me all that much,” Trezeguet said.
