Mohamed Salah has featured in full 90 minutes and was on target as Liverpool showed no mercy beating Sportak Moscow 7-0 and toping Group E in the UEFA Champions League.
Only four minutes after the kick-off whistle, Mohamed Salah won Liverpool a penalty which Phillipe Coutinho managed to convert to give The Reds an early lead.
15 minutes into the game, Coutinho doubled the lead after a beautiful play between Sadio Mane, Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Four minutes later, Firmino launched a powerful shot into the top corner to consolidate the lead. Ten minutes prior to the halftime whistle, Salah found Mane with a beautiful pass but the latter’s shot went above the crossbar.
Liverpool pressed Spartak heavily with the start of the second half to avoid another comeback scenario like against Sevilla, and their strategy was productive as Milner assisted Mane with an accurate cross and the Senegalese shoots it first time and scores the fourth goal for the home side after four minutes.
Two minutes later, Coutinho broke through the Russian side’s defense and sent a left-footed drive that was deflected into the back of the net to complete his hat-trick and makes it 5-0. 15 minutes prior to the final whistle, Salah sent Daniel Sturridge through with the latter squaring the ball to Mane who slotted home from close range.
In the 85th minute, Salah finally got his long-sought goal after receiving the ball inside of the box, fakes a shot that led two defenders to collide with each other before shooting with his right foot straight into the top corner. The Egypt international has now scored eighteen goals in all competitions with Liverpool.
