The Egypt International has now bagged nine goals for Liverpool in the Champions League on the Anfield with only Steven Gerrard, 14, having scored more goals for the team at home in Europe’s elite competition.

Despite the importance of the goal, Salah didn’t even smile, which made a lot of people question the player’s happiness at the club.

The question has also reached the BT Sport studio where Gary Lineker asked Garcia, Rio Ferdinand, and Michael Owen: “Why do you think Salah is not smiling when he scores at the moment?”

“Well we still don’t know. I think he’s not feeling the same as he did last year,” Luis Garcia replied.

“Last year everything was coming easy and this year he’s struggling in a few of the games, having chances and not scoring, probably he’s trying to prove himself and well today once again he done it,” he added.

Rio Ferdinand has also given his view regarding Salah’s position on the field saying, “I think him playing on the right suits him better.

“He has a bit more freedom there where he’s not marked by two centre-halves. He’s playing off the right and he’s asking the centre-half and the full-back questions. So I feel there is a freeness when he plays out there,” he added.
