After reports from Italy stated that he is close to joining Al Ahly, fresh reports have refuted that notable Italian manager Luciano Spalletti have received an offer to become the Red Devils new head coach.

Following Al Ahly news that the current head coach Rene Weiler is announced to leave the club, rumors had been around that the Italian manager Luciano Spalletti has been the closest potential replacement to Weiler.

Al Ahly’s current head coach Rene Weiler is reportedly ready to leave the club at the end of the season despite helping the Red Devils secure two trophies, the Egyptian Premier League and the Egyptian Super Cup.

Italian reports claimed that the 61-year-old coach is close to being hired by the Cairo giants.

However, prominent news outlet beIN Sports claimed on Monday that Spalletti denied receiving any offers from Al Ahly.

It was also said that Luciano would prefer to coach in Italy in case he decides to return to take over a new coaching job.

Spalletti has managed several clubs in Italy, including Sampdoria, Empoli, Udinese, AS Roma, and most recently Inter Milan.
