Liverpool managed to book a seat in the final of the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid after beating AS Roma 7-6 on aggregate.
Liverpool lost 4-2 to Roma at Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday but that wasn’t enough for the Serie A side to qualify as the Reds’ had a 5-2 advantage from the first leg at Anfield.
Liverpool’s XI: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino.
Roma’s XI: Alisson, Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov, Pellegrini, De Rossi, Nainggolan, Schick, Dzeko, El Shaarawy.
Liverpool entered the game with high pace and managed to get and early lead as Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
But Liverpool’s defence failed to keep the lead for long, as Dejan Lovren’s deflected clearance saw James Milner scoring in his own net on the 15-minute mark.

The game continued with Liverpool attacking highly and their pressure paid off as Georginio Wijnaldum scored Liverpool’s second of the night in the 25th minute.

The second half started with Roma seeking to make a comeback and Edin Dzeko gave the home side hope by netting his side’s second goal, as he scored the equaliser in the 52nd minute.
The game went on and Radja Nainggolan added two late strikes, but it wasn’t enough for Roma to get back into the tie. He fired a rocket shot to make it 3-2 in the 86th minute before converting a penalty in the 92nd minute to make it 4-2 for Roma.
Roma were one goal away to get back into the game but the referee whistled to end the game as Liverpool reached the final, where they’ll face Real Madrid on May 26.
